Weekly Kinder Post for 8/12

images-1

Hello Amazing Kinder Parents,

As we begin our 4th week in kinder here are a few friendly reminders:
images-2Don’t forget that Curriculum Night is 8/12 this Monday for grades K-3.  See below for timing and schedule.  This is an adults only event so please make arrangements for day care.  Notes were sent home Friday for your convenience as well.

Monday, August 12th – Grades K-3
6:00-6:30 – Parents and teachers meet in MPR
6:30-7:00 – Classroom Presentation One
7:00-7:30 – Classroom Presentation Two

  1.  Please remember to send back your 1st HW packet on Monday- 8/12.  We would greatly appreciate a completed packet with a name on the front as well.  At curriculum night we will be going over your HW packets that were returned to see how you did…Good Luck!!
  2. Library books were checked out last week -our classes went on Wed. and Thur. for book check out.  Your kiddos can keep the books for up to 5 days… then they need to be returned.  If your child forgets their book on Library Day they can not check out a new book until the other one is returned per our school policy.
  3. A friendly reminder that Monday through Thursday your kiddos need a snack (labeled and in a separate bag marked with ‘S’ and a name).  We eat lunch at 10:30 and by 1:00 they are HUNGRY…  There is no snack on Friday so there is no need to send one that day.  As the weather keeps getting hotter- placing your kiddos snacks in a sealed container is very helpful so we don’t have massive ant attacks…yikes!!!
  4. If you haven’t done so yet please return the blue “All About Me” bags- they were due last week (8/5)  and there are many still not turned in...  We use these for ‘Star of the Day’ and if your child does not have one they can’t be’ Star of the Day’- a very special day for each and every child.
  5. With the weather being hot we encourage water bottles for our kiddos.  They are allowed to keep them inside by our sinks- but please make sure they are labeled with a name- as 25 unlabeled water bottles prove hard to get to their rightful owners… thank you.

Weekly Kinder Post 9/5

th-8

Hello Amazing Kinder Parents,

As we begin our third week here are a few reminders:

  1.  Don’t forget that the “All About Me” bags are due tomorrow (8/6) with 3 items that your child can share with the class.  These bags will be used over the next few weeks for our Star of the Day writing books.
  2. The first official HW packet will come home this week- it will be placed in your childs’ HW folder.  They need to be returned by next Monday- Aug. 12th.  We strongly encourage the use of pencils and crayons- please no pens or markers.  If your child has a hard time with letter and number formations – the use of a highlighter to make the letters/numbers for them to trace is ideal.
  3. Please remember that when sending lunch and snacks you need to : send 2 separate bags one for lunch and one for snack (DO NOT PUT THEM TOGETHER IN ONE BAG), Label each bag with “L” and “S” as well as their NAME… having 25 snack bags with “S” and no name is very challenging. We have snack everyday except Friday.
  4. Please remember to send in all papers sent at the beginning of the year signed and dated…as we are still missing a few papers here and there.
