As we begin our 5th week…yes 5th week…  here are a few reminders.

  1.  Library books need to be returned one week from their check out date.   (Hickman/Blaylock- Wed. and Snyder/Yalamanchi- Thurs.)

Hello Amazing Kinder Parents,

Just a reminder this week is curriculum night…  please make sure to arrange for childcare as this is a night for parents to learn about what our year looks like in terms of our curriculum.

W, 8/15 ·       6-7:30pm – Curriculum Night, Gr. K-3
Th, 8/16 ·       6-7:30pm – Curriculum Night, Gr. 4-6

As we begin our 4th week here are a few friendly reminders…

  1.  Last week your kiddos checked out library books for the first time.  Please remember that they can keep these books for 1 week before returning.  If you want you can return it earlier we leave that up to you and your kiddo.  Below is the Kinder Library Checkout Schedule:  Blaylock/Hickman- Wed.  Snyder/Yalamanchi- Thurs.
  2. When sending lunches and snacks please remember to put them into 2 separate bags with a label of either “L” or “S” and your kiddos name…this makes it so much easier for everyone.
  3. With our continued heat please know that sending water bottles to school is OK… just make sure that there is a name on the bottle…as often we can have 2 of the same one.
  4. Every Monday your kiddo needs to return a completed HW packet and will receive a new one for the next week.  If your child does not bring home a HW packet on Monday please let your teacher know ASAP.
  5. Our green HW folders need to be returned daily- this is how we communicate with papers home and notes home.

Week 3 Kinder Post

Hello Amazing Kinder Parents,

As we start week 3 here are a few important reminders:

1.  With the excessive heat this week, please know that for both lunch and snack we will behaving our kiddos stay inside where it is cooler.

2.  When sending snacks and lunches this week please make sure it is in a ziploc bag to deter the ants that come out during this heat…ugh!!!

3.  Please remember that when sending both a lunch and a snack…to put them in separate bags, labeled with “L” or “S” and a kiddo’s  name.  Very often we have numerous brown bags with no names and it is very hard to figure it out.  Also please DO NOT place the snack in the lunch bag- it is too hard for our kinders to remember which is snack and which is lunch.  Also remember not to send loose food items as a snack…  it is soo hard to figure out who they belong to.

4.  This week your kiddos will go to the library to check out books for this first time.  If you haven’t returned the library request paper signed then your child will not be allowed to check out books.  This paper went home in the White Envelopes at the beginning of the year.
